About TC Legend Homes
Hello, I am Ted Clifton, owner of TC Legend Homes. I design and build fine custom homes. I discovered my interest in construction at an early age, pounding nails into an old cedar stump in my parents’ back yard.
My first years were spent in logging camps around Ketchikan, southeast Alaska. I started working for my fathers’ construction company, CVH Inc. in 1991, in Coupeville, Washington, and continued until 2002. CVH is a leader in Green building, Zero energy, and SIPS panel construction. I was then recruited by my neighbor Shon Gere as a foreman for Terra Firma NW on Orcas Island. Three years on the Island doing a variety of exciting, and artistic projects brought me to dream of running my own company.
In 2005 I put together my finances and experience to build 18 cascade lane. This was the most rewarding year of my career. In the evenings after work, I designed 19 Cascade lane, and started construction in summer of 2006.
This was my favorite project ever. As I write this I remember the immense satisfaction I felt putting this project together, and I would like to do that for you. I am not a briefcase builder, nor a big builder. I am a hands on builder who will be on-site all day every day making sure every detail is complete. I would like to build one house per year for one family. I don’t have stock plans, your home will be unique, to your taste, guided by my knowledge of available materials and techniques. I specialize in steep slopes, green building, and interesting designs.
